Westonka Youth Football is a volunteer organization operated through Westonka Community Education and Services. Westonka Youth Football provides a great opportunity for kids to participate in organized skills development, flag football, and tackle football. We are dedicated to offering young student-athletes in grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football and the value of teamwork in a safe and fun environment.

The Westonka Youth Football program begins in Kindergarten with a developmental skills program that runs through 2nd grade. In grades 3rd through 4th, the Westonka Youth Football program forms flag football teams and participates in an In-House League. In grades 5th through 6th, the Westonka Youth Football program forms tackle football teams and competes against other area programs/schools, including Westonka, Dassel-Cokato, Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, Rockford, and Watertown-Mayer in the Wright, Carver, and Hennepin Area (WCHA) Football League.

White Hawks Monday Night Football (K-2nd Grade)

2025 SEASON INFORMATION
This introductory football program will focus on teaching kids the basic fundamental skills and rules of football through fun games and activities. Equipment and instruction will be age appropriate and participants will be grouped according to age and/or ability level. Programming will take place on Monday nights beginning on Monday, September 8th and will conclude on Monday, October 6th.

Flag Football (3rd & 4th Grade)

2025 SEASON INFORMATION
3-4 Grade Flag Football Practices will begin on Tuesday, August 19th at 6:00pm. Parents should plan to attend the first practice to meet with coaches and teammates. Practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and games will be held on Saturday mornings. All practices and games will take place at WHS Field #10 (JV Baseball Field), Field #11, and Field #12 (Track). These fields are next to each other. Flag Football participants will receive a Westonka Football league/team t-shirt that they are able to keep at the conclusion of the season. The season will conclude on Saturday, October 11th. A complete season schedule will be sent out prior to the start of the season.

Tackle Football (5th & 6th Grade)

2025 SEASON INFORMATION
5-6 Grade Tackle Football Player Evaluations will take place on August 11th and 12th beginning at 6:00pm. Practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings beginning on Thursday, August 14th. Once the school year begins (after Labor Day), practices will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. All practices will take place at the WHS South Practice Fields: 7, 8, 9 (next to the WAC). Games will begin after Labor Day and will only take place on Saturdays. Games run approximately 90 minutes. The season will conclude on Saturday, October 11th. A complete season schedule will be sent out prior to the start of the season.
