Westonka Youth Football Basic Skills Camp (Entering Grades 1-6)

Are you ready to play football the White Hawks Way? Learn from the White Hawks Varsity Football Coaches in a no-pads and non-contact football camp focusing on fundamentals and fun! Players will learn the basics for a variety of position-specific football skills that include passing, catching, punting, and kicking through drills and fun, competitive games. Participants will be grouped according to age and/or ability level.

Westonka Football Passing Academy (ENTERING GRADES 5-8)

(SPECIALISTS ONLY - QB, RB, WR, TE)

The Westonka Football Passing Academy is a 3-day 5-8 grade NON-CONTACT football camp that is dedicated exclusively to the specialist positions - QB, RB, WR, & TE. The Westonka Passing Academy will help players fully realize their potential on and off of the football field. Whether you’re a QB, RB, WR, or TE, the Westonka Passing Academy will help you grasp the fundamentals of your position, and basic offensive and defensive strategies to improve, learn, and grow as student-athletes and football players. The Westonka Passing Academy will focus on the following components:

  • Quarterbacks: 3 & 5 Step Drops (Shotgun/Under Center), Progressions & Hot Throws, Footwork, Throwing Drills
  • Running Backs/Wide Receivers/Tight Ends: Stances & Starts, Ball Catching Technique & Drills, Route Running, Releases

Participants will be grouped by age, position, ability, and experience to allow coaches to progressively teach basic and advanced techniques to best benefit each group. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.

Westonka Football Big Man OL/DL Camp (Entering Grades 7-8)

The Westonka Football Big Man OL/DL Camp is a 3-day 7-8 Grade football camp is dedicated exclusively to the most important part of any football team, the offensive and defensive linemen…The big men in the trenches.

The Westonka Football Big Man OL/DL Camp strives to provide intensive instruction for football players wishing to improve their overall skill level. We will focus on the fundamentals of the game of football with high repetition drill work and teaching from highly qualified coaches. Camp sessions will focus on footwork, technique, speed, and overall football knowledge through extensive practices that will include, but are not limited to, one-on-one instruction, fundamental stations, position drills, and competition.

Participants will be grouped according to age and/or ability level. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.

White Hawks Football Skills Camp (Entering Grades K-4)

This NON-CONTACT football camp Featuring Former Minnesota Viking Jimmy Kleinsasser will focus on the fundamentals of blocking, tackling, passing, receiving, ball handling, punting, and kicking. Players will apply these fundamentals through drills and fun, competitive games. Participants will be grouped according to age and/or ability level. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.

White Hawks Football Developmental Camp (Entering Grades 5-8)

This FULL-PADDED Developmental Football Camp Featuring Former Minnesota Viking Jimmy Kleinsasser will focus on specific position play as well as offensive and defensive schemes taught within the Mound Westonka Football Program. Players will learn offensive and defensive positions as well as the fundamentals used in special teams play. Players will learn the base plays of the Mound Westonka offense, base fronts, and coverages on defense. Participants will be grouped according to age and/or ability level. All participants will receive a camp t-shirt.

Westonka Performance Program (Entering Grades 6-12)

The mission of the Westonka Performance Program (WPP) is to capture the hearts and minds of our students through a rigorous and regimented physical preparation program. The Westonka Performance Program (WPP) will provide each student with an innovative, year - round athletic development program focused on improving speed, strength, power, agility, mobility, and endurance.

This Westonka Performance Program (WPP) is designed for the developing, competitive athlete. The focus will be on strength training fundamentals including: powerlifting movements, plyometrics, acceleration, deceleration, speed, agility, and energy system efficiency. All activities are age/skill appropriate, professionally designed, and constructed with athletic performance and injury resilience in mind.

The Westonka Performance Program (WPP) is led by Coach Zack Nauert. Coach Nauert has worked with hundreds of athletes ranging from 7 years old to professional athletes (NFL, MLB, MLS). He has worked with athletes that have gone on to earn NCAA D1, D2, D3 & NAIA scholarships along with athletes participating in the NFL Scouting Combine. Coach Nauert is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Coach Nauert is also a certified USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and certified in Reflex Performance Reset (RPR). Coach Nauert also serves on the Minnesota Advisory Board for the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA) and is a Health/PE Teacher at Mound Westonka High School.

All student-athletes entering grades 6 - 12 are welcome and encouraged to register for this summer program!
